On 8th June 1994 Pierce Brosnan was announced as the fifth actor to play James Bond in the long running series produced by Eon Productions.
Following the release of Goldeneye (1995), Brosnan reprised the character three more times; in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002). Although he was widely expected to return for a fifth film, Eon ultimately decided to move the series in a very different direction for which they needed a fresh face.

Roger Moore’s sixth outing as 007 was Octopussy. The film premiered at the Odeon Leicester Square on 6th June 1983. Among those attending the premiere were Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
