




Goldeneye went on UK general release on November 24th 1995. Pierce Brosnan’s 007 début ended a six year drought of Bond movies after a legal dispute between Cubby Broccoli and MGM/Pathé.

The UK première of Goldeneye took place at the Odeon Leicester Square on 22nd November 1995 with Prince Charles in attendance.

Goldeneye went on general release in the United States on 17th November 1995.

Goldeneye, Pierce Brosnan’s 007 début, received its World Première at the Radio City Music Hall in New York on 13th November 1995.

Famke Janssen, who played Xenia Onatopp in Goldeneye was born in Amstelveen, Netherlands on 5th November, 1964.

Martin Campbell, who directed Goldeneye and Casino Royale and hence introduced both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig as 007, was born on 24th October 1943 in New Zealand.
Campbell’s other work includes directing episodes of the cult British TV series The Professionals, while film work includes two Zorro films with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as an adaptation of DC Comics’ Green Lantern.

Éric Serra, who composed the soundtrack for Pierce Brosnan’s first outing 007 in Goldeneye (1995), was born in France on 9th September 1959.
