Goldeneye went on general release in the United States on 17th November 1995.

Ilse Steppat, who played Irma Bunt in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, was born in Germany on 17th November 1917. She sadly died four days after the release of the film.

Teru Shimada, who played Mr Osato in You Only Live Twice was born in Mito, Japan on 17th November 1905.

Yaphet Kotto, who played Kananga/Mr Big in Live and Let Die, was born in New York City on 15th November 1939.

Tuesday 14th November 2006 marked the Royal World Première of Daniel Craig’s eagerly awaited Bond debut, Casino Royale, in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.
After a certain element of the fan base railed against Craig as Pierce Brosnan’s successor and the British tabloid press went after him with a vengeance it must have been satisfying when early reviews were overwhelmingly positive. The majority of fans were overjoyed with the renaissance of Bond under Daniel Craig.
The première took place at three cinemas in London’s Leicester Square, the Odeon, the Empire and the Leicester Square Theatre. I was lucky enough to tread the red (and purple) carpet at the première.
