





Tomorrow Never Dies, the second James Bond film to star Pierce Brosnan as 007, went on UK general release on 12th December 1997.

Pierce Brosnan’s second James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, premiered on 9th December 1997 at the Odeon Leicester Square.


Götz Otto, who played Mr Stamper in Tomorrow Never Dies was born in Dietzenbach, West Germany on 15th October 1967.

Michelle Yeoh, who played Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies, was born in Malaysia on 6th August 1962.

On 8th June 1994 Pierce Brosnan was announced as the fifth actor to play James Bond in the long running series produced by Eon Productions.
Following the release of Goldeneye (1995), Brosnan reprised the character three more times; in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002). Although he was widely expected to return for a fifth film, Eon ultimately decided to move the series in a very different direction for which they needed a fresh face.
