Thunderball premiered in the UK on this day in 1965. It was delayed from October due to the production running behind schedule. Although Sean Connery missed the event, it was screened at both the London Pavilion and the Rialto.

On this day in 1965 the US premiere of Thunderball took place at the Manhattan Paramount Theater in New York. Showing off the Bell Textron jet pack that featured in the film, the pilot was arrested as he had failed to acquire the licence required to fly off the roof of the cinema.
