





Ian Fleming’s third James Bond book, Moonraker, was first published in the United States by Macmillan on 20th September 1955. It had been published in the UK by Jonathan Cape earlier the same year, on 5th April.


Richard Kiel, who played the much-loved henchman Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979), died on 10th September 2014.

Geoffrey Keen, who played Frederick Gray in The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill and The Living Daylights, was born in Berkshire on 21st August 1916.

Moonraker premièred at the Odeon Leicester Square on 26th June 1979.
